Here’s a look at the future at wide receiver for the Huskies. Right now UW has 2018 verbal commits from:

• Marquis Spiker, a four-star WR out of Murrieta, Calif. He’s 6 foot 3 and 190 pounds with great hands and moves really well for the size that he has. He has multiple offers, but at this time Montlake is where he wants to play.

• Austin Osborne, a four-star WR out of Mission Viejo, Calif. Austin has 13 offers including UCLA, Tennessee, and Michigan, but he verbally committed to UW back in March. He’s another receiver with great hands and good size. His 6-3 frame and hands will work well at UW.

• Trey Lowe, a four-star WR out of Portland, Ore. Think Chico McClatcher. He’s 5-9 and a playmaker. I got to see him last year for the first time and watched him score six touchdowns in three quarters. He’s special and another example of some of the players that want to come here to play.

The conversations over the last year have changed out there in the recruiting world. Kids all over the west coast are considering UW more and more. Why? Well that’s an easy answer: Coach Chris Peterson.
