Washington State University will see pink, and a lot of it, when they take on the Oregon Ducks this weekend.

Oregon is known for its ridiculous number of uniform combinations. It will be adding one more special combo for Saturday’s game.
The Ducks are expected to break out a pink helmet to go with matching pink shoes, socks and gloves.
“Coming together in support of a common cause, the University of Oregon will rally a larger team to battle one opponent that touches us all: cancer. The Ducks will take the field on Saturday wearing uniforms to honor cancer survivors and help raise money for the fight against women’s cancers,” says the Oregon Football Facebook page.
The team is also expected to auction off 25 of the helmets to support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Oregon became well-known for its uniform combinations more than a decade ago when it started mixing pants, jerseys and helmet colors.
One of Oregon’s most influential graduates and donors is Nike founder Phil Knight. Oregon became the testing ground for Nike’s innovations in football equipment technology and fashion.
The uniforms you see around college football and the NFL all had their beginnings with Oregon’s unique uniform program.
Though many old time Duck fans are not enamored with all the changes, high school recruits love them.
