Seattle’s KeyArena to host NCAA tournament 2015

It’ll have been 11 years since Seattle has hosted the NCAA men’s basketball tournament in 2015 when the league returns.

The NCAA announced the preliminary round sites on Monday.

The second- and third-round games will be played on March 20-22, 2015 at KeyArena. It’s the first time Seattle has made the list of location sites since 2004.

The Seattle Times reports Seattle lost its chance to hold a Final Four event after the Kingdome was demolished because the NCAA would rather hold the events in a larger venue.

Spokane will host the second and third rounds in 2014, the fourth time that city has held an event since 2003.
