Washington Huskies stand pat at No. 5 in AP Top 25

Despite a completely dominant effort Saturday in Eugene, Ore., the Washington Huskies remained at No. 5 in the Week 7 Associated Press Top 25 rankings released on Monday.

The Huskies ripped Oregon 70-21 to end a 12-year losing streak against the Ducks and improve to 6-0 heading into their lone bye week of the season. That win came on the heels of a 44-6 win over then-No. 7 Stanford the week before, adding weight to their case to be in the national title picture at the end of the season.

Stanford dropped out of the Top 25 after losing to Washington State on Saturday, as did Colorado following a loss to USC, leaving UW and No. 21 Utah (5-1) as the only Pac-12 teams left in the Top 25.

The top four teams, in order, are Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and Michigan.

The rankings were delayed a day to accommodate a Georgia-South Carolina game that was postponed from Saturday to Sunday due to Hurricane Matthew.
