Former Seahawk Tarvaris Jackson pleads not guilty in assault case

Former Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has pleaded not guilty in his assault case.

Osceola County Court records show that the not-guilty plea was entered on Jackson’s behalf on Tuesday.

Jackson is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/without intent to kill in connection with a domestic dispute from last month in Kissimmee, Fla. in which he allegedly pulled a loaded gun on a woman reported to be his wife and threatened to kill her. The assault charge is a third-degree felony in Florida.

TMZ Sports reported last week that a judge denied Jackson’s request for a free public defender despite Jackson’s claim that he was broke and could not afford an attorney. Court documents list Warren W. Lindsey as Jackson’s main attorney. Lindsey is an Orlando-based criminal defense lawyer.
