As expected, left tackle Bradley Sowell is among the players the Seahawks have ruled inactive for tonight’s game against Buffalo, which means a second straight start for undrafted rookie George Fant.

There were no surprises among Seattle’s list of inactive players, which includes only one healthy scratch in rookie offensive lineman Rees Odhiambo, who has been inactive for most of the season. Also inactive for the Seahawks are five others who were previously ruled out: strong safety Kam Chancellor, defensive end Michael Bennett, tight end Luke Willson, running back Thomas Rawls and cornerback DeAndre Elliott.

The Seahawks will indeed see former teammate Percy Harvin tonight. Harvin came out of retirement last week to sign with the Bills, whose receiving corps had been depleted by injuries. Harvin played for Buffalo last season, but there was some uncertainty about whether or not he’d be able to get up to speed physically in time to play tonight after rejoining the team on Tuesday. Coach Rex Ryan said over the weekend that Harvin would likely play, and he is.

And given how his season and a half with Seattle was marked by turmoil, including documented fights with two teammates, there are certainly some Seahawks who are glad Harvin is playing tonight.

Chancellor is missing his fourth straight game due to what coach Pete Carroll has called a “substantial groin pull.” It will be the ninth game he’s missed due to injury since the beginning of the 2014 season, not counting the two he missed while holding out at the start of last year.

Kelcie McCray will again start in his place.

Bennett is expected to be out at least two more games beyond tonight’s following arthroscopic knee surgery last week. Frank Clark will start in his absence. Also expect to see Damontre Moore (No. 97) rotating in at defensive end as well as on special teams. The Seahawks signed him last week.

The Bills will have leading rusher LeSean McCoy, who was listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury. They’ll be without one of their best defensive players, however, as defensive tackle Marcell Dareus is out with a groin injury.

Also inactive for Buffalo: quarterback Cardale Jones, wide receiver Brandon Tate, tackle Seantrel Henderson, former Seahawks center Patrick Lewis, tight end Gerald Christian and defensive tackle Corbin Bryant.
