Stelton: No reason to be mad at Richard Sherman for bolting to 49ers

Richard Sherman is gone, having joined the 49ers after being released by the Seahawks. Bob Stelton says any anger over the move shouldn't be directed at Sherman himself.

By joining the San Francisco 49ers just a day after being released by the Seahawks, Richard Sherman was bound to upset some members of the Seattle fan base. But is the All-Pro cornerback really deserving of the ire of the 12s right now?

Bob Stelton of 710 ESPN Seattle’s Bob, Groz and Tom doesn’t think so. For one, the Seahawks decided to release Sherman in the first place. Not only that, they reportedly had the opportunity to match the 49ers’ deal for Sherman and declined to do so.

In the video above, Stelton lays out the reasons why any anger he could have over Sherman going to San Francisco can’t be aimed at Sherman himself.
