This is how many people were tuned into the Seahawks’ dramatic win

If it felt like the whole City of Seattle simultaneously screamed and sighed with relief when Vikings kicker Blair Walsh missed the likely game-ending field goal against Seattle on Sunday &#8212 that’s because it nearly was.

According to ESPN Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell, an incredible 87 percent of TVs on in Seattle during Viking-Seahawks matchup were tuned into that game.

NBC Sports reports the cumulative rating for wild card weekend was up from last year’s games, with the Seahawks-Vikings receiving a 22.5 overnight rating on NBC on Sunday early afternoon, up from an 18.0 overnight rating on CBS for Bengals-Colts on Sunday afternoon last year.

Apparently any concerns about the game’s violence or the movie “Concussion” hurting the NFL brand have not been realized.
