The hypocrisy in some HOF voters leaving Edgar Martinez off their ballots

Jan 23, 2018, 3:58 PM

Edgar Martinez was a designated hitter, perhaps the best the game of baseball has even seen. And 710 ESPN Seattle’s Bob Stelton has heard enough from detractors claiming that Martinez’s status as a DH should keep the Mariners great out of Cooperstown.

In the video above, Stelton explains the hypocrisy of some voters reasoning in not voting Martinez for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

By the way, the 2018 Hall of Fame class will be announced at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Tune in to 710 ESPN Seattle and check 710Sports.com throughout the day for coverage of Martinez’s potential inclusion.
