A lot of players have received praise for their role in the Seahawks’ 24-7 victory over the New York Giants, like Russell Wilson, Doug Baldwin and Jarran Reed. But there were a pair of particularly unsung heroes in the victory.
In the latest Football 101 video from 710 ESPN Seattle’s Dave Wyman, he breaks down how safety Kam Chancellor played a huge part in shutting down New York’s running game, and even gives punter Jon Ryan some props by sharing a few stats from the game.
By the way, as an indication of just how crucial Ryan’s performance was in the victory, consider that Wyman, a former NFL linebacker, rarely if ever goes on record saying positive things about punters.
