Cornerback Richard Sherman wasn’t the only Seahawk to draw an NFL fine from the team’s Monday night victory over Buffalo. According to a source, running back Christine Michael was docked $6,076 for tossing a football into the stands after scoring on a 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

The NFL considers it a fan safety issue when players toss footballs into the stands. Wide receiver Jermaine Kearse, for instance, was fined for that after scoring the winning touchdown in the NFC title game two years ago against Green Bay.

The $6,076 that Michael was fined represents the standard amount for a fist-time offense, according to the NFL’s fine schedule.
