Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet is set to make his much-anticipated season debut on Monday night against the Chicago Bears, head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed during his Saturday news conference.

Report: Seahawks among teams interested in trade for Jonathan Taylor

Charbonnet, who underwent knee surgery on Feb. 20, doesn’t have a game status designation on Seattle’s injury report. It was will be his first game action since tearing his ACL in the Seahawks’ divisional round playoff win over the San Francisco 49ers in January.

Macdonald called it “remarkable” that Charbonnet is set to play less than eight and a half months after surgery.

“Zach’s a guy that kind of works in the shadows and he’s already had our respect, but hopefully people understand what kind of stud this guy is to come back on this timetable and be ready to go,” Macdonald said.

Rookie running back Jadarian Price (chest) also doesn’t have a game status designation, but Macdonald stopped short of confirming the first-round draft pick will be activated off injured reserve ahead of Monday night’s game. Price has missed the past four games.

“If we were to make a move, I think that would happen on Monday, to my knowledge, so we’ll see if that’s what we do,” Macdonald said. “We’ve got some things going on roster-wise that we’re working through right now.”

Meanwhile, the Seahawks ruled out left tackle Charles Cross (ankle), wide receiver Rashid Shaheed (knee) and reserve running back Velus Jones Jr. (hamstring). Seattle also listed edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu (ankle) as doubtful.

With Cross out, veteran backup Josh Jones will start at left tackle. Jones made fill-in starts for Cross in each of Seattle’s final three regular-season games last year.

Backup quarterback Drew Lock (right elbow), backup guard Anthony Bradford (knee), backup nose tackle Brandon Pili (back) and reserve linebacker Patrick O’Connell (toe) are each questionable.

Linebacker Drake Thomas (ankle) doesn’t have a game status designation and is set to return to the starting lineup after missing the past two games, Macdonald said.

Three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Leonard Williams (Achilles) and standout defensive tackle Byron Murphy II (back) also don’t have game status designation, which means they are considered good to go after being limited in practice with new injuries earlier this week.

Bears injury report

Chicago ruled out backup running back Kyle Monangai (thumb, toe), who has rushed for 324 yards, 5.4 yards per carry and three touchdowns in four games this season.

The Bears also listed starting linebacker D’Marco Jackson (ankle) and reserve cornerback Malik Muhammad II (toe) as questionable.
