Report: UW Huskies land transfer from another Big Ten school

The UW Huskies men’s basketball team has reportedly added another international player. This time it’s from another Big Ten School.
On3.com reported Wednesday Rutgers transfer Harun Zrno has signed with the Huskies. Zrno, a 6-foot-7 guard, is a native of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Zrno appeared 34 games and made 15 starts as a 21-year-old freshman for the Scarlett Knights last season. He averaged 6.5 points while shooting 35.6% from the field and 33.8% from beyond the arc and added 3.4 rebounds per game. Zrno did much of his damage from 3-point range with 52 of his 69 made field goals and 154 of his 194 shots from the field being 3-pointers.
Zrno scored a season-high 21 points against Wisconsin on Jan. 17 and reached double figures nine times this past season. He scored just two points in 16 minutes in his lone matchup against UW on Feb. 24.
Prior to arriving at Rutguers, Zrno played overseas for KK Slavija in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s top-tier pro league during the 2024-26 season. He averaged 17.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 14 games.
Zrno is the latest of a slew of international players to join the Huskies since the arrival of head coach Danny Sprinkle in 2024. The team’s 2026 recruiting class also includes Brazilian forward Wini Braga, Australian guard Tristan Devers and Croatian forward Boris Tisma. Serbian forward Nikola Dzepina is also returning from last year’s roster.
In addition to the several international players slated to play for the Huskies during the upcoming season, the program has also featured U.K. forward Great Osobor and German forward Hannes Steinbach in recent years, the latter being a first-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Zrno is the fifth transfer recruit the Huskies have added for the upcoming season. He’s joined by Texas Tech forward LeJuan Watts, Gonzaga guard Steele Venters, Davidson guard Parker Friedrichsen and San Francisco point guard Ryan Beasley.
