The WSU Cougars men’s basketball will face one of the sport’s biggest blue bloods this fall.

Washington State will square off against perennial national powerhouse Duke on Nov. 21 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, the schools announced on Monday. The game is part of the fourth annual Acrisure Series holiday tournament.

It will be WSU’s first-ever matchup against Duke, which has won five national championships and reached 18 Final Fours. Duke is coming off a 35-3 campaign that ended with a buzzer-beating loss to eventual national runner-up UConn in the Elite Eight.

This will be Washington State’s second appearance in the Acrisure Series. The Cougars participated in the tournament back in November 2024.

WSU-Duke tickets will go on sale to the general public Wednesday on Ticketmaster. Premium hospitality packages, courtside seating, suites and group ticket opportunities also will be available.

“Participating in the Acrisure Series is always an honor,” WSU coach David Riley said in a press release. “It presents an incredible opportunity for our program and Cougar nation to represent Washington State on a national stage against the country’s top teams. We look forward to a competitive matchup in Greater Palm Springs in front of a Crimson crowd.”
