World Cup in Seattle: When and where to watch games on TV

It’s finally here. After years of waiting, for the first time ever, the 2026 FIFA World Cup has brought games to Seattle.

What to know about the 16 World Cup stadiums

While the World Cup kicked off Thursday, the first game in Seattle isn’t until Monday. That will be the first of six games taking place at “Seattle Stadium” – temporarily renamed from Lumen Field for the event – that includes four in the group stage of play followed by a pair of knockout games in the rounds of 32 and 16, respectively.

The marquee matchup will be on Friday when the United States team that features Seattle Sounders star and former UW Huskies standout Cristian Roldan takes on Australia.
