Mariners announce 50 Seasons Celebration, unveil jersey patch

The Seattle Mariners announced on Wednesday several ways they will be celebrating their 50th season as a franchise in 2026, including a 50 Seasons Celebration Weekend and a 50 Seasons jersey patch.

The 50 Seasons Celebration Weekend will take place Aug. 7-9 at T-Mobile Park during the Mariners’ weekend series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The highlight of that weekend will be a pregame ceremony on Aug. 8 that honors the Top 50 Greatest Mariners Players in franchise history. The Top 50 players will be determined through fan voting, along with input from Mariners legends and others. Fans can vote now at this link through Feb. 20, 2026.

Additional 50 Seasons Celebration Weekend events will be announced at a later date.

The Mariners’ 50 Seasons jersey patch will replace the primary logo on one of their jersey sleeves in 2026. The logo incorporates some unique details, including the original typeface from the franchise’s inaugural 1977 season and a ring of 116 lines that pays tribute to the 2001 team’s record-setting 116-win campaign.

“Celebrating 50 seasons of Mariners baseball is a tribute to the generations of fans, the community, and the Mariners players who have defined this franchise,” Mariners president of business operations Kevin Martinez said in a release.

“Their passion, dedication, and belief have carried this franchise for the past half-century, and their passion fuels our excitement for not only our 50 Seasons celebration, but also the next 50 years of Mariners baseball.”

There also will be a number of 50 Seasons giveaway items and promotions over the course of the season.
