The letter from John Schneider that helped Seahawks land Doug Baldwin
Back in 2011, after Doug Baldwin had gone undrafted, Seahawks general manager John Schneider wrote him a letter that outlined both the organization's philosophy and why he would be a good fit.

After Doug Baldwin signed his $46 million extension in June, he looked back at the difficult and unusual circumstances through which he ended up with the Seahawks.
He had gone undrafted in 2011, at which time the NFL’s lockout was prohibiting teams from adding undrafted players. It wasn’t until the labor dispute ended in late July that Baldwin was able to sign with Seattle. So from when the draft ended in late April to then, his football future was up in the air.
Previously untold about that time was a letter that general manager John Schneider wrote to Baldwin expressing the team’s interest in him. It was two pages, hand-written on Seahawks letterhead, and it outlined both the organization’s philosophy and why Baldwin would be a good fit.
Greg Bishop of SI.com obtained the letter, which you can read here in its original form.
