The bowl matchups are set for the UW Huskies and WSU Cougars.
Washington State is heading to southern California for the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl, with the Cougs set to cap their season by facing Mountain West champion Fresno State.
Meanwhile for Washington, which has had a great year in its first season since hiring head coach Kalen DeBoer away from Fresno State, it has a very intriguing draw – the Alamo Bowl, where it will take on the Texas Longhorns, who are coached by former Huskies mentor Steve Sarkisian.
While the Huskies and Cougars should enjoy warmer weather in their bowl games, they both may be in more of a road game environment than a neutral one because they will be facing teams playing in their home states. The Texas campus in Austin is just a 90-minute drive from the Alamodome in San Antonio, while Fresno State is 3 1/2 hours away from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.
