There will be another sell-out crowd at CenturyLink Field and a national television audience looking on tonight when 1-0 Seattle hosts 2-0 Houston.

The Dynamo play its first seven league matches on the road while its new home, BBV Compass Stadium, is completed in downtown Houston. So far so good. Houston produced a pair of 1-nil victories over Chivas USA and the San Jose Earthquakes.

Tally Hall, Houston’s young goalkeeper, is a product of Sea-Tac, Wash. He’s been poised and a solid leader behind a veteran back line. Sounders head man Sigi Schmid had this observation in our Coach’s Corner interview.

“Tally Hall is a young guy who waited his turn in Houston behind Pat Onstad and as he moves forward with this opportunity, he’ll continue to grow,” Schmid said.

Houston has an experienced roster anchored by Geoff Cameron and Bobby Boswell. U.S. National teamer and Gonzaga University alum Brian Ching can still score. They’re a very dangerous “set piece” team because of Brad Davis’ accurate long passes.

“The key is not to give up very many corner kicks and set pieces,” Schmid said. “When a team has a good center forward, if you can cut out the service you eliminate a lot of the problems.”

Seattle’s roster will have some new faces in the starting 11. Midfielder Mauro Rosales is out with a sprained knee. Schmid said Roger Levesque and Danish speedster Christian Sivebaek could both see action.

Defender Adam Johansson will be a game-time decision due to a tight hamstring. Seattle bought out O’Brian White’s contract. The 26-year-old forward had complications from recurring blood clots in his left leg.

Former Sounders voice Arlo White returns to the Xbox Pitch for play-by-play on NBC’s new national coverage of the MLS. Ross Fletcher and Kasey Keller call the game on 97.3 KIRO FM starting at 7 p.m.
