The Sounders will meet the winner of Wednesday’s game between León and Pumas to settle the Leagues Cup.
With the possibility of a shootout looming, Ruidíaz took a long pass near midfield and delivered a shot at Santos Laguna goalkeeper Gibrán Lajud. The rebound caromed back to Ruidíaz, however, and he was able to find the net on a second try.
Saved all the fun for the very end!
