Seahawks general manager John Schneider said earlier this month that the team generally approaches pre-draft visits as a way to look at players who weren’t invited to the scouting combine and are projected to be taken in the fourth round or later. Of course, with reported visits from running back Derrick Henry and defensive lineman Vernon Butler, who are both expected to be early-round picks, that’s not strictly the case.

Brock Huard believes pre-draft visits are key to the entire offseason and an integral element to the team’s exemplary history of signing undrafted free agents.

“The reason the Thomas Rawls’ of the world and his other undrafted free agents hit is because of the work done with these visits this month,” Huard said.

Of the prospects who have reportedly made pre-draft visits to Seattle, Huard highlighted two that could make sense for Seattle in one of the later rounds.

DL Jonathan Bullard, Florida (6-3, 285)

Huard’s take: The Seahawks have some familiarity with the Florida pipeline because of former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who was the Gators’ defensive coordinator and defensive-line coach in 2011 and 2012. Bullard’s versatility as an end and tackle makes him an intriguing option.

Rashard Robinson, CB, LSU (6-1, 171)

Huard’s take: A wild card in this year’s draft since he missed the entire year as a result of multiple violations of team rules. His size and athleticism (4.49 in the 40) make him an interesting option as a press corner.
