Lots going on today on Brock and Salk! Jake Locker is coming back to UW for his senior season, the Mariners are involved in a potential trade with the Phillies to bring in Cliff Lee and Chone Figgins was introduced to his new hometown…
To break all this information down we needed a cavalcade of well-informed guests and it all started with ESPN’s Jayson Stark weighing in on the potential Cliff Lee deal. Dave Cameron from USSMariner.com also weighed in on the potential trade examining the value that the trade would bring the M’s as opposed to the value getting shipped to Philly.
Speaking of making moves, the Mariners’ new infielder extrordinaire Chone Figgins joined the show to talk about why he is donning Mariner blue.
Following Chone, was the man who brought him to Seattle, Jack Zduriencik. He spoke about why he brought in Figgins, his philosophy for putting talent together and what is on the horizon for the Mariners.
Did we mention a local athlete was making some headlines of his own this morning and we talked to ESPN’s Trent Dilfer about Jake Locker’s decision to stay in school over entering the NFL Draft. And if that wasn’t enough, former UW Husky and current College Football Insider for ESPN, Ed Cunningham joined the show to add his take on Jake’s decision.
