The Seahawks have lose their third starter in free agency and their second in a matter of minutes as right guard J.R. Sweezy has agreed to a deal with Tampa Bay, according to multiple reports.

Sweezy’s departure is not a shock. He had what reports were characterizing as a sizable market of teams interested in his services. It is significant, though, considering he has arguably been the most consistent member of an offensive line that has been in flux in recent seasons and could also lose its starting left tackle, Russell Okung, who’s an unrestricted free agent as well.

The most logical candidate to replace Sweezy is Mark Glowinski, a fourth-round pick last year who drew rave reviews from coach Pete Carroll and offensive-line coach Tom Cable after his lone start of the season.

Sweezy was a seventh-round pick in 2012, a college defensive tackle whom Cable and the Seahawks converted to an offensive guard. He became a full-time starter in 2013.

That news of his departure came just after the Chargers announced a three-year deal with defensive tackle Brandon Mebane. Linebacker Bruce Irvin is headed to Oakland.
