Three Sounders called into U.S. National team

Sounders midfielders Clint Dempsey and Brad Evans and defender DeAndre Yedlin have been called into the U.S. National team for its April 2 match against Mexico in Phoenix.

According to the Sounders, the three will leave for Phoenix following Saturday’s home match against Columbus and will return in time for Seattle’s Cascadia Cup match against Portland on April 5.

Dempsey, the captain of the national team, ranks second all-time with 36 career goals.
