The Seahawks enter their Week 1 showdown against the Denver Broncos and former quarterback Russell Wilson down two key contributors on offense.

Rookie running back Ken Walker III (hernia) and starting left guard Damien Lewis (knee/ankle), both of whom were listed as questionable Saturday for the Monday Night Football matchup, are inactive for the Seahawks.
Also out due to injury are long snapper Tyler Ott (shoulder) and cornerback Artie Burns (groin). Rounding out Seattle’s inactives list are reserve cornerback Isaiah Dunn and defensive tackle Myles Adams, a preseason standout.

Walker underwent surgery for a hernia injury a few weeks ago and played just a handful of snaps in the Seahawks’ first preseason game in Pittsburgh. Seattle’s second-round pick out of Michigan State, Walker did not participate in practice last week. With Walker out, Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas will back up starting running back Rashaad Penny.
As for Lewis, the third-year guard being out means that 2019 fourth-round pick Phil Haynes gets the start at left guard alongside rookie left tackle Charles Cross. Haynes started two games last season for Seattle.
Ott suffered a dislocated shoulder in practice this week and was ruled out on Saturday. The Seahawks signed long snapper Carson Tinker to the practice squad last week as a result. Ott has been Seattle’s starter at the position since 2017, and the trio of Ott, punter Michael Dickson and kicker Jason Myers have made up the Hawks’ field goal unit since Week 1 of 2018, Dickson’s first NFL game.
Burns was doubtful to play, so with him being out, it signals that rookie Tariq Woolen will start at right outside cornerback opposite either Sidney Jones or Michael Jackson.
For the Broncos, they will be without two starters in right tackle Billy Turner and inside linebacker Jonsey Jewell. Rounding out Denver’s inactives list are receiver Jalen Virgil, safety Delarrin Turner-Yell and defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike.
Kickoff is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. and will air on Seattle Sports 710 AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM. For information on how to listen to the game, visit this link.
