Lineups: Mike Zunino starting again for Mariners in opener vs Blue Jays

Jul 22, 2016, 12:58 PM | Updated: 12:59 pm

Mike Zunino, who has three home runs in just three MLB games this year, is in the lineup Friday for the second straight game since being called back up to the Mariners from Triple-A.

The 25-year-old catcher is hitting eighth, while Shawn O’Malley gets the nod at shortstop despite the addition of Luis Sardinas earlier in the day to help with Ketel Marte still under the weather.

Native Canadian James Paxton gets the start in Toronto on the mound for Seattle, and he’ll face countryman and former Mariners teammate Michael Saunders, a 2016 All-Star who is the DH and hitting fifth for the Blue Jays.

The series opener begins at 4:07 on 710 ESPN Seattle, with the pregame show starting at 3.
