The airwaves of 710 ESPN Seattle were jam-packed with notable baseball experts this week in preparation of the second half of the Mariners season, which begins Friday night.

Keith Law, ESPN senior baseball writer, talked to John Clayton to discuss the Mariners’ farm system and general manager Jerry Dipoto’s approach to his job.

Rob Neyer, formerly of ESPN and Fox Sports, joined “Bob, Groz and Tom” and explained why the Mariners should definitely be buyers at the trade deadline and how they’re reminiscent of last year’s Toronto Blue Jays.

Jayson Stark, another ESPN senior baseball writer, stressed the importance of the first 14 games after the All-Star break for the Mariners while on with “Brock and Salk.”

Ryan Rowland-Smith, former Mariners pitcher and current ROOT Sports analyst, discussed with John Clayton why the return of Felix Hernandez next week should have a huge impact.
