While two of the Mariners’ position players are likely to come off the disabled list as expected, pitcher Felix Hernandez may miss a little extra time.

Center fielder Leonys Martin appears to be on schedule to return June 10 when he is eligible to come off the disabled listed. Shortstop Ketel Marte is expected to be activated on Monday. Servais is not tipping his hand much on what the corresponding move will be.

“We will do what’s best for the 25-man roster,” Servais answered when asked what they would be looking for in making that decision.

Hernandez is eligible to come off the DL June 12 but he most likely will need more time before returning from the calf strain. He did not travel with the team and has been receiving treatment in Seattle.

“He felt a little bit better (Saturday),” Servais said. “Not throwing yet, moving slow at this point, which I think is what everyone expected. When you pull something like that, it takes a while and then starts to feel better and you are good to go pretty quick. I will be curious to see how he is when we get home.”

While Servais is hopeful Felix will be ready sooner rather than later, he said that it is more likely he misses a couple more starts.
