The Seahawks are ready to kick off their first game of the 2020 season in Atlanta against the Falcons and will be without an offensive weapon in free-agent addition Phillip Dorsett, a speedy wide receiver who had been listed as questionable on the last injury report due to a foot injury.

Dorsett, the team’s presumed No. 3 receiver, has battled a foot injury throughout training camp and was a limited participant at practice this week.

Also inactive are backup offensive tackles Cedric Ogbuehi and Jamarco Jones. Ogbuehi was ruled out on Friday due to a pectoral injury while Jones was on the injury report earlier in the week, then was taken off before being listed as questionable Saturday due to an illness. To add depth to the offensive line, the Seahawks promoted tackle Chad Wheeler to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday’s game in Atlanta.

Three other Seahawks are inactive as healthy scratches: recently-signed outside linebacker/defensive end D’Andre Walker and rookies Deejay Dallas, a running back, and defensive end Alton Robinson.

Dallas and Robinson both earned high praise throughout training camp, with many thinking Dallas, a fourth-round pick, could earn playing time on passing downs due to his receiving prowess and pass protection. The same could be said for Robinson, a fifth-round pick, who rushes the passer on the edge, an area of weakness for the Seahawks last year.

With Dorsett out, the Seahawks have five receivers on the active roster in Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, David Moore, Penny Hart and rookie Freddie Swain. Since Dallas is inactive, the Seahawks will go with three running backs: Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde and Travis Homer.

The Falcons have five inactives for Sunday’s contest, most notable second-round defensive tackle Marlon Davidson, who has a knee injury. Backup cornerback Kendall Sheffield and backup defensive end Charles Harris were ruled out on Friday with foot and ankle injuries, respectively. Also inactive for the Falcons are running back Qadree Ollison and offensive tackle Timon Parris.

Kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m. For information on how to listen to the 710 ESPN Seattle broadcast of the game with Steve Raible and Dave Wyman on the call, visit this link.
