Pete Carroll Post-Show: Even after loss to Rams, Seahawks still have strong confidence in run game

The Seahawks were a score short again against the NFC West-leading Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, but it wasn’t due to their run game.
First-round pick Rashaad Penny had his best game in the NFL, rushing for 108 yards and his first career touchdown to become the third Seahawks running back to eclipse the century mark in a game this season. That’s a big reason why Seattle’s head coach told Brock and Salk on The Pete Carroll Show Monday morning that the run attack is as good as he’s seen it in his time with the Seahawks.
In the attached video, Brock Huard and Mike Salk share what stood out to them when they sat down with Carroll for over 20 minutes to discuss Sunday’s 36-31 loss to the Rams and look ahead to Thursday’s tough matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
