The second game of the regular season for the Seattle Mariners will feature a marquee pitching matchup, just like the first.
Moore: No negatives, just quibbles from Mariners’ opening night win
James Paxton takes the mound for his season debut Saturday, and the Mariners’ breakout star from 2017 will duel with Cleveland’s Carlos Carrasco, who finished fourth in the AL Cy Young Award voting last season, in the 1:10 p.m. game on 710 ESPN Seattle.
The Mariners’ lineup is unchanged from opening day, with Mike Marjama hitting eighth and catching due to Mike Zunino’s oblique injury (which has now resulted in a disabled list stint), and Ichiro Suzuki in left field and hitting ninth.
