Seahawks rookie right guard and backup center Ethan Pocic sat out of Wednesday’s practice with an ankle injury.
DeShawn Shead returns to practice for Seahawks
Pocic started and played 100 percent of Seattle’s snaps Sunday against the Eagles, so the injury may be new or the decision to keep him out precautionary; it also may have factored into Seattle’s decision to promote center Joey Hunt from its practice squad Tuesday.
Also sitting out were TE Jimmy Graham (ankle), DE Michael Bennett (knee), G Oday Aboushi (shoulder), LT Duane Brown (ankle), LG Luke Joeckel (knee), DT Nazair Jones (ankle), DE Marcus Smith (ankle) and LB Bobby Wagner (hamstring). Most of those listed are veterans who have been given rest days in the past for lingering or nagging injuries. Marcus Smith is the only new addition (after Jones, who was a new addition Friday).
Defensive end Dion Jordan (shoulder/neck) was listed as a limited participant, which is good news following a lack of updates on his status earlier Wednesday.
Cornerback DeShawn Shead returned to practice as a full participant.
