Eddie Lacy to start for the Seahawks with Thomas Rawls inactive
GREEN BAY, Wisc. – Eddie Lacy will start his first game for his new team against his former employer.
The Seahawks announced that decision 90 minutes before kicking off their season against the Green Bay Packers, declaring Thomas Rawls inactive.
Rawls was listed as questionable on Seattle’s injury report because of a high ankle sprain that kept him out of the team’s final three preseason games. He practiced without limitation this week and was considered a game-time decision.
With Rawls inactive, Lacy gets the start with C.J. Prosise and Chris Carson serving as the backups. Fullback Tre Madden is also active for the Seahawks.
Seattle’s other inactive players: RB J.D. McKissic, S Tedric Thompson, S Delano Hill (shoulder), LB Michael Wilhoite (calf), G Jordan Roos and T Isaiah Battle.
The Packers’ inactive players: CB Josh Hawkins, RB Aaron Jones, CB Lenzy Pipkins, G Lucas Patrick, T Bryan Bulaga, DT Montravius Adams, DT Quinton Dial.
