Aug 29, 2017, 12:38 PM

The next play-by-play announcer of University of Washington football and men’s basketball will be Tony Castricone, the school announced in a press release Tuesday.

Castricone has been named Director of Broadcasting by Washington IMG Sports Marketing, the third party multimedia rights holder for UW athletics. He will succeed longtime announcer Bob Rondeau as the voice of football and men’s basketball broadcasts.

Rondeau will retire at the conclusion of the Huskies’ 2017 football season.

Castricone will begin broadcasting men’s basketball games on Nov. 10 and take over play-by-play duties for football next season.

Castricone has served as play-by-play man for Clemson men’s basketball since 2014.
