Bradley Sowell is among the Seahawks’ inactives for today’s game at San Francisco, a healthy scratch for the second straight week after Garry Gilliam reclaimed the starting job at right tackle.
That means rookie Rees Odhiambo will again be Seattle’s third offensive tackle for heavy packages, a role he’s filled since around the middle of the season.
Running back C.J. Prosise was the only player listed on Seattle’s final injury report Friday, so the other five inactives along with Sowell are all healthy scratches. They are: running back Terrence Magee, safety Tyvis Powell, linebacker Ronald Powell, tight end Nick Vannett and defensive tackle John Jenkins.
Magee is the only change from last week’s inactive list. He’s out today in favor of rookie J.D. McKissic, who was claimed off waivers from Atlanta two weeks ago. Primarily a wide receiver in college and with the Falcons, McKissic is listed as a running back by the Seahawks. He also has return experience and could be an option to return kickoffs and/or punts now that Tyler Lockett is on Injured Reserve. McKissic returned a kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown during the preseason with Atlanta.
