Raúl Ruidíaz scored in second half stoppage time to lift the Sounders to a 1-0 win over Santos Laguna of Liga MX at Lumen Field on Tuesday night, clinching a spot in the final of the Leagues Cup.

Sounders 1, Santos Laguna 0: Box score

Ruidíaz, the MLS goals leader, sent home the winner on a counterattack in the 93rd minute to break a scoreless tie.

The Sounders will meet the winner of Wednesday’s game between León and Pumas to settle the Leagues Cup.

With the possibility of a shootout looming, Ruidíaz took a long pass near midfield and delivered a shot at Santos Laguna goalkeeper Gibrán Lajud. The rebound caromed back to Ruidíaz, however, and he was able to find the net on a second try.
