The Seahawks have had some trouble deciding who should be the team’s long-snapper in 2016, and it might be time to check the basketball court for additional competition.
The Seattle Storm tweeted a video Thursday of guard Jewell Loyd, who won the WNBA’s 2015 Rookie of the Year, snapping the ball from her under her legs into the hoop from half court.
Hey @Seahawks @Gresh49 — you guys up for a friendly long snap competition? 🏈 @jewellloyd #trickshotshootaround pic.twitter.com/ZXWY4X0vN8

The Seahawk’s waived long-time long-snapper Clint Gresham this offseason, who held the position since 2010. Seattle initially signed Andrew East a $450,000 for the spot, only to cut him shortly afterward in favor of Drew Farris.
Gresham came away impressed.
