ESPN Stats & Information is distributing a weekly update on each NFL team’s estimated remaining salary-cap space, and the initial report shows Seattle is over the projected threshold.
The report was compiled Feb. 7, before the Seahawks signed three players to futures contracts. It lists Seattle as having $129,763,780 counting against the 2014 salary cap, which is projected to again be around $126 million.
The Seahawks’ estimated total is the sixth-highest and one of 10 above the projected cap. Dallas is No. 1 on the list at over $152.2 million while Oakland is No. 32 at $67.8 million. The Raiders are one of three teams under $100 million.
