All-Pro Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner is expected to report to training camp when it starts Thursday at team headquarters in Renton even though he and the Seahawks have not agreed to a contract extension past the 2019 season, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Per Rapoport, Wagner will be “cautious” and “not put himself in harm’s way” before a new deal is completed.

Wagner, 29, was present at the Seahawks’ offseason workouts but sat out practices due to his contract status. He is due to make a base salary of $10.5 million in 2019, the final year of a four-year, $43 million extension he agreed to prior to the 2015 season.

According to an NFL.com article, it’s “possible Wagner takes a similar approach to training camp” as what he did during the offseason program.

Wagner is a five-time Pro Bowler, earning the honor each of the past five seasons, and a four-time first-team All-Pro (2014, 2016-18).
