The Mariners had their new setup man in the bullpen Sunday, but the addition of Alex Colomé to the active roster was hardly the only move made before their 3-1 win over the Twins.

Leake, Healy lead Mariners to 3-1 win over Twins to complete sweep

Here’s a look at the seven total roster moves announced by general manager Jerry Dipoto:

RHP Alex Colomé reports to club.
RHP Dan Altavilla recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.
C Chris Herrmann selected from Triple-A Tacoma.
C David Freitas optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.
RHP Nick Vincent placed on 10-day disabled list with strained right groin.
1B Daniel Vogelbach optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.
IF-OF Taylor Motter designated for assignment.

Motter’s DFA is the biggest surprise of the bunch. The utility player hit seven home runs in 96 games with Seattle last season but has appeared in just seven MLB games this year. The 28 year old, who is hitting .197 in Triple-A, was designated to make room for Herrmann on the 40-man roster. Motter was claimed off waivers by Minnesota on Monday.

The next-biggest surprise is the switch from Freitas to Herrmann at backup catcher. The 30-year-old Herrmann signed with Seattle as a free agent in early April after being released by Arizona. He hit .266 with six home runs, 22 RBIs and 34 walks in 37 games with Tacoma. Freitas, 29, is hitting .217 in 19 games with the Mariners this season.

Vincent hits the disabled list the morning after having to leave Saturday’s game on a 3-0 count in the eighth inning due to his groin strain.

With Colomé’s arrival and Altavilla’s return from the minors, the Mariners once again have moved to an eight-man bullpen and three-man bench.

In other news, Jean Segura was out of the lineup Sunday after leaving Saturday’s game due to taking a foot to the head while sliding into second base. After the game, manager Scott Servais told the media that Segura passed a concussion test in the afternoon and could be back at shortstop for Monday’s series opener against Texas.
