Fearing a cold, rainy Sunday football game at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, coach Pete Carroll took his Seahawks outside for Friday afternoon’s practice. Carroll joked with reporters it was to toughen his team up.

Carroll is expecting another hard-fought NFC West contest against Arizona, a team which has lost eight games in a row.

“We take them as very, very dangerous,” Carroll said. “Think about how hungry that team is to get a win. They’ll do whatever it takes, and have a lot of big-time players who can change a game for them. We respect the heck out of this team.”

As expected, Seattle’s secondary won’t have veteran cornerback Marcus Trufant for a second game in a row. He did not do any work this week while rehabbing a hamstring injury.

Defensive end Red Bryant continued to rest his sore foot and is listed as probable on the Seahawks’ injury report. Linebacker Leroy Hill was limited with an ankle injury, and Carroll said he will be evaluated again Saturday.

Safety Kam Chancellor has rested a tight groin the past couple days, but according to Carroll he should be ready to play.

Rookie J.R. Sweezy received plenty of reps with the first-team offense, and Carroll expects him to get him some playing time along with John Moffitt at left guard. Last week’s starter, James Carpenter, is out for the season to allow his knee to fully recover.

For Arizona, defensive end Ronald Talley is doubtful with an ankle injury. A sore knee limited running back Beanie Wells during Friday’s practice. Tall defensive end Calais Campbell is also listed as questionable with a calf problem. Backup quarterback Kevin Kolb is nursing sore ribs and is also listed as questionable.
