The Mariners had a pair of comebacks in Wednesday’s 9-8 win over Oakland, and the first was nearly was exciting as the second. Credit Nelson Cruz’s massive blast for that.

Cruz mashed an offering from Athletics rookie southpaw Sean Manaea to a part of O.co Coliseum rarely reached – the middle deck in dead center field.

Second on last year’s MLB home run leaderboard at 44, Cruz finished 3 for 4 on Wednesday and now has five homers on the 2016 season to go along with a .296 average, 16 RBIs and .903 OPS.

According to Statcast, Wednesday’s home run went 435 feet and had an exit velocity of 112 mph off the bat of Cruz. And if you need some perspective on how far away from home plate it landed, the Mariners’ Twitter account has it covered.
