The Seahawks, as expected, will have their fullback in 2020.

Huard: Seahawks’ biggest concern going into Week 1 is stopping the run

Nick Bellore was re-signed by Seattle on Monday, two days after he was released as the team cut down its roster to 53 players. A spot on the roster was created for Bellore by the Seahawks’ placement of guard Phil Haynes on injured reserve.

The move with Bellore was no surprise, as they did a similar maneuver with him ahead of the 2019 season.

Bellore, 30, didn’t see much time on offense last season with Seattle but was a key contributor on special teams. He appeared in 14 games with one start, making seven tackles and a fumble recovery, and catching two passes for 23 yards and a touchdown. He is entering his 10th NFL season, which includes four years with the Jets and two each with Detroit and San Francisco.

Haynes, a 2019 fourth-round pick of Seattle, missed most of his rookie campaign due to a sports hernia but did see playing time in the playoffs last season.

The Seahawks made one additional move Monday, signing cornerback Linden Stephens to the practice squad after they waived him on Sunday to add outside linebacker D’Andre Walker on a waiver claim from Tennessee.
