Percy Harvin has been added to Seattle’s roster.

Now, we’ll see when Harvin gets back on the field.

Harvin was activated Monday, moved onto the 53-man roster, which is the next step in his return from hip surgery, but it was also a necessary move to have him available at any point this season.

Harvin began the season on the team’s Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, which required him to miss at least the first six regular-season games. Harvin was eligible to begin practicing once Week 7 began, and once he began practicing, the team would have three weeks to add him to the 53-man active roster or lose him for the year.

Harvin began practicing on Oct. 21. Seattle had to add him to the roster this week to have him eligible to play at any point the rest of the season, so this move was largely procedural.

Defensive tackle Michael Brooks – who was signed from the practice squad on Saturday – was released to make room for Harvin on the roster.
