The Seahawks will meet with former Carolina defensive end Greg Hardy this week, according to multiple reports.
Hardy is a tremendously talented pass rusher, having recorded 11 sacks in 2012 and 15 in 2013 for the Panthers, but he’s also one of the most maligned players in the NFL. He was convicted of assaulting and threatening his ex-girlfriend in a bench trial in June 2014, and he was held out of all but Carolina’s Week 1 game last season. Hardy later asked for a jury trial, and his case was dismissed Feb. 9 after his accuser didn’t show for court.

Due to his off-field issues, the 6-foot-4, 275-pound Hardy could be signed at a significant discount for somebody with his ability.
The Cowboys have also reportedly met with Hardy and are in negotiations to sign the 2010 sixth-round draft pick, according to Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas.
