Defensive tackle Nazair Jones, a 2017 third-round pick by Seattle, was waived along with running back Adam Choice, defensive tackle Shakir Soto and linebacker Pita Taumoepenu. Jones is the only player waived Monday by the Seahawks to have appeared in a regular season game for the team.
The 25-year-old Jones, a University of North Carolina product, played 20 games and started two over the 2017 and 2018 seasons with the Seahawks. He missed the entire 2019 season after being placed on injured reserve last August with a knee injury.
In 11 games as a rookie, Jones had two sacks, an interception, a fumble recovery, three passes defensed, four quarterback hits, three tackles for loss and 19 combined tackles.
