Jake Heaps’ Film Room: Why No. 15 UW Huskies had trouble putting Colorado away

The UW Huskies stood pat at No. 15 in the Associated Press poll after last Saturday’s 27-13 win over Colorado, while in-state rival WSU jumped ahead of them, gaining a whole 11 spots from No. 25 to 14 following the Cougars’ win over Oregon. Why didn’t the voters give more respect to the Dawgs?
The Washington offense’s difficulty in putting away the Buffaloes before late in the fourth quarter is a likely reason.
In this week’s UW edition of Jake Heaps’ Film Room, the former NFL and NCAA quarterback breaks down a few plays that show how the Huskies got in their own way when they had opportunities to pull away from Colorado at Husky Stadium.
