There is nothing new to report today regarding the reported Felix Hernandez extension. The deal is not official as of yet. From what I can tell, we learned about it in the very early stages of t-crossing and i-dotting. There was work to be done to complete it and obviously we are not there yet.

The Joe Saunders deal has yet to be announced either, but Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that it is a one-year deal worth $6.5 million plus $1 million in incentives with a mutual option for 2014.

In other news, keeping up with former Mariners…

Chone Figgins has landed with the Marlins, signing a one-year minor-league contract. The Mariners are still on the hook for the majority of his $8 million 2013 salary.

The Orioles have designated Trayvon Robinson for assignment to create room for pitcher Todd Redmond, who was claimed off of waivers from the Reds.

Mark Lowe has signed a minor-league deal that will be worth a base salary of $1.5 million if he makes the big-league team with the Dodgers.

No starting pitcher.
