SEATTLE MARINERS
Lineups: Mariners will try to finally figure out Astros’ Collin McHugh
Sep 26, 2016, 1:21 PM | Updated: 1:26 pm
The last time Collin McHugh threw against the Mariners was 10 days ago, and Seattle had no answer for the Astros right-hander as he held its offense scoreless over seven innings of two-hit ball.
The Mariners can’t afford for that to happen Monday night as their window in the playoff chase is shrinking by the day.
McHugh, who has a 4.61 ERA this season but is 4-0 with a 1.08 ERA against the Mariners, will be on the mound again for Houston as Seattle begins its final road series of the regular season. The good news is the M’s will counter with Hisashi Iwakuma, who just so happened to also throw seven scoreless innings of two-hit baseball the last time he pitched against the Astros on July 16.
You can catch Game 1 of the Mariners’ series in Houston at 5:10 on 710 ESPN Seattle. Coverage begins with the pregame show at 4.
