The Seattle Sounders FC are in the final stages of signing a familiar name to the broadcast booth for next season.
According to King-TV, former Sounders goalkeeper Kasey Keller will be working as a color analyst for the 2012 season, barring any snags in negotiations.
The Sounders are reportedly close to finding a new play-by-play man for the 2012 season after Arlo White left to become the lead man for the new NBC Sports Network’s soccer coverage.
An Olympia native, the 42-year-old Keller retired after the 2011 season after being named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. His distinguished 20-year career saw him play in the top leagues in Europe, and was one of the best keepers the U.S. National team has ever seen.
